Tilda in Blue

I'm just in love with Tilda---well, actually I can't limit it to her, but I'm loving my copics, so I'm coloring all kinds of people from the stamp world. When I picked up my mail today, my very first HANGLAR STANGLAR stamp had arrived! I'm sure you'll be seeing more of him in the next little while.

While coloring my Tilda all blue, I came across the Die Cut Dreams Challenge--who are challenging everyone to make an all blue Tilda card. Is that karma or what? I quickly designed my card and here it is:

I tried to add alot more layers and texture to this card, as I have a hard time doing that. I used my cuttlebug on one of the background pieces of card stock as well as on the heart itself (spellbinder heart die). Then on the hearts that were textured, I used some metallic lustre rub to add more depth. I added some stickles to Tilda's dress. Then I used some Prima flowers and sprayed them with glimmer mist and that was that.

I hope you like her. Have a great long weekend. We're off to a family reunion. I', really looking forward to seeing some family members that I don't get to see too often.

Ciao, Janet

Three Times A Charm

I've been busy creating today and I've made a card for three challenges:

Fussy and Fancy

Mojo Monday 149

Whimsie Wednesday Challenge--Somethin' Sweet

Here's my card:

I used a Hanglar Stanglar image! There are my newest passion and almost impossible to get, if you don't live in Sweden. But--I'm so lucky. I made a new friend, Margrit, on SCS, and she graciously offered to stamp me some images. This is one of the images she sent me.

I colored it with copics, of course. My patterned paper is from my stash, and I don't remember where I got it or what company made it....sigh. I love it, and hope I can find somewhere. I added some stickles to the sparkling drink in her glass....cute, eh?

Hope you like it.

Cowgirl-Up Sunday Stampen Challenge

There's a new challenge over at Cowgirls Sunday Stampen Challenge on Sunday and to celebrate a whole load of gorgeous new 'Animals and Bugs' images at CJs shop (with 25% off!!) the theme is ........Animals and Bugs.

I made a card with the new stamp Leo Lion. He's sure got attitude, doesn't he? I think he would be terrific on a kids card. That's why I used the patterned paper I did--the image just made me think of a card for a young person. I colored him up with my copics--I used some yellow and browns, and added just a tiny bit of bling to the edges of the image.

Don't forget to pop on by the Cowgirl Up store and check out the new images......they're great!

The challenge this week is sponsored by Whimsy Stamps. The lucky winner will get 5 images from Whimsy Stamps and the winners badge and the top 3 will get to choose one of CJs images and also be able to display the Top 3 badge on their blogs too!!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #69

Do you love cupcakes as much as I do? They just hit the spot, don't they?

I decided to join along with the Cupcake Inspiration blog and complete their challenge this week.

This was the inspiration:

I have had these wonderful cupcake images for ages. When I first saw them, I feel in love with them, and bought a set. I didn't really use them. But after seeing this inspiration, I knew they were the images for this card. When I find the site I got them I'll link it up here. I just can't find it at the moment.

Here's my card:

I, of course, colored them with my copics. I added some bling by using stickles and some glossy accents to the berries.

I hope you like it.

Have a cupcake-alicious day!

Prairie Fairy Challenge Week 29

I'm back! I'm feeling like my mojo has returned and I'm creating again. Don't you hate it when you just aren't inspired to create, and it's just too hard to create a thing? I think I"m over that now, thank goodness, and I'm back in the land of creating.

Here's a card I made for this weeks Prairie Fairy Challenge:

We were challenged to "Lace It Up". I used some lace I purchased at my LSS. I used the birthday cake image, available here. It's colored with copics of course.

I'd also like to enter this for the Paperworks Co Sketch challenge. Check it out!

Hope you like this one. Janet

Paperworks Co

Did you see this?! I'm the guest designer for this week over at Paperworks Co.

Here's the card I created using their sketch:

I used my copics, once again the color the image. Isn't it the cutest ever? As soon as I saw those ducks, I knew I had to have that stamp. I received it as blog candy from Steph--she's a doll! I colored it up right away, and when I was asked to be the guest designer, I knew it was the image to use.

I switched the sketch around a little bit, to fit the image, but I think it still works. Why don't you visit Paperworks Co and join in the fun? Maybe you could be the next guest designer?

Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz

I've made a card for this month's blog waltz over at Waltzingmouse Stamps. This months challenge was to use blue and green--spring colors--in a card. I decided to make this card:

I used my hoard of paper this month. I've been hoarding the Marakesh paper by basic grey, but it was calling me and I just had to use it. Don't you just love that shade of blue? I sure do!

I used the labels stamps and embossed it in white, and then used another phrase from the Fancy Phrases set for the centre of the card. I added some pearls to complete the card.

I hope you like. Be sure to join the Blog Waltz for more wonderful creations. It's worth the trip.

Have a great weekend!

Just Inklined

I came across this cute stamp from a company that is new to me--Just Inklined. I fell in love with the stamp called Scruffy. My dog is named Scruffy and looks so much like the stamp, that I had to buy it.

I made an easel card with it, and colored it with my copics. I hope you like it.

Waltzingmouse Sketch #5

I created this card for the sketch challenge over at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog. Be sure to check it out.

I used one of the stamps sets that goes with The Spellbinders Labels #4. Then I used the sentiment that comes from the Fancy Phrases set.

Do you find the patterned piece of paper interesting? It's a one of a kind piece of paper. I created it using the flower blooms found in my garden. I've seen that idea on a number of blogs and thought I'd try it out. I think it works well since this card is fairly plain and it adds a bit of pizzazz to it.

I hope you're having a great day. I'm off to pick up my niece from Pony Camp. I hope it went well for her.

Happy Birthday!

I created this happy birthday card using a stamp from Paperworks Co. I think this little mouse is just the cutest thing ever!

I colored him with my copics, and used some glossy accents on the balloons to make them pop.

I'm entering him in the Whimsical Butterfly challenge, and the Caardvarks Challenge.

Truly Scrumptious

I'm really into challenges lately. Here's another card I made for the challenge over at Truly Scrumptious.

I used one of the images from Prairie Fairy Designs. I love this flower pot for coloring with my copics. I also got to use my new Labels 10 dies from Spellbinders for this card.

I'm entering it for their challenge as well as their DT contest. Here are the details for their DT contest.

DT members need to:

* Make a new card every two weeks and upload it directly to the challenge blog
* Submit the occasional sketch to be used for our challenges
* Leave comments for bloggers who enter our challenges

If you would like to be considered for the team please create a new post on your blog that includes pictures of two of your own favourite cards plus details about our DT call and a link back to this post. Then use the Inlinkz widget below to link us to your new post.

This DT call is open until Wednesday 14th July.

I'd also like to include another card that I really love. This is one I made using stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps. I totally love the color combination. When I saw the patterned paper, I fell in love with it, and the burnt orange goes so well with it. The stamp is from their tea set....and it's just so cute. Hope you like it!

See you soon! Janet

CHECK IT OUT!

Did you see the new badge on the right? Yup, THAT'S RIGHT, I'm honored to say I've been invited to join the design team at Cowgirl Up Stamps.

I'm just chuffed--as my granddad would say. That invitation really made my day. I'm looking forward to working with all the girls there, and I'm sure it's going to be tons of fun.

Taylored Expressions Challenge

I got a new stamp set from Taylored Expressions. It caught my eye the moment I saw it. One of the sayings, "Turn your face to the sun" was a favorite saying of my granddad, and it reminds me of him. I miss him alot, so I just had to have it.

I had that sentiment in mind when I started working on the sketch #119, but as it turns out, I changed it as I was working.

I used some Graphic 45 paper I've had for a while now. I really liked it when I saw it, but I wasn't quite sure how to use it. I think it works really well for this card. I did some distressing on it, and my Martha Stewart punch to create a little embellishment.

Hope you like it.
Janrt

Happy Birthday

I got this very cute stamp from Steph, who just happens to be on the design team for PaperworksCo. Thanks Steph! Steph does some great work, and is on a few design teams, so be sure to stop by and check out her work.

I decided to use my new stamps for their Sunday Sketch Challenge #40. It's a sketch challenge, so here it is:

I love the bright colors. The card just seemed to cry out for bright green and yellow, so I went with it. Once again, I used my copics and spellbinders--my favorite tools.

Have a great evening.

A Mouse and a Sketch

What a gorgeous day it was here in Brandon.....absolutely beautiful. The perfect summer day. I hope that, where ever you are, it was a beautiful day for you too!

Here is my card for today:

I used the mouse image from Prairie Fairy today, as it worked really well with the colors I had chosen. I'm really loving bright, bold colors lately. I colored up Ms Mouse with my copics.

I also used a sketch from the Friday Sketchers. You can see the sketch here. I used the cuttle bug on a couple of my strips, to add some texture to the card. I embellished with flowers, and a stick pin. I also added the ever popular rhinestones. I had an afterthought and sprayed my card with glimmer mist--marshmallow to be exact. I'm not sure if I like how it looks in the picture, but in real life it has a really nice shimmer to it.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges:

Friday Sketchers #109
Praire Fairy Fun Fridays Week 26.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to leave a comment so I know who you are.

Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge

As you an see, I certainly was on a roll yesterday, while I was scrapping with the girls! (waving to Kailey, Chris, Doreen and Linda!)

My next card is for the Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge #5. You can read all about it here.

I used the boot image I got a while back, and colored it up. I used the inspiration provided and chose the colors for the background of the card. The card is 5 3/4 square. That seems to be a size I really like to use lately.

Thanks for visiting!
Janet

Bildmalarna stamps

I recently purchased some new Bildmalarna stamps. I've seen them as I've browsed SCS gallery, and they have always intrigued me. Since I'm into a big coloring kick, I thought they would be worth a try.

They are great stamps to use and color. Here's the card I've made for their Red, White and Blue Challenge:

I used this stamp called Little Mimosa. Isn't she cute?

I used my copics again to color her up. She was a delight to color. I used my new Martha Stewart punch to create the border down the centre of the card and then I embellished it with some pearls.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.
Janet

Totally Tilda Challenge #1

Don't you just love the Tilda images? I know that I do. I am all charged up now that there is a challenge blog just for Tilda! It opened up yesterday, so pop on over and check it out....you just might be drawn into the Tilda vortex too! Muwhhaahhhahhhaaa (evil laugh)

Here is the card I made for the very first challenge:

I used this Tilda for the very first time for this challenge. The challenge was to use chocolate for the main color. I colored her up with my copic markers, and cut her out. I used some pearl embellishments to fancy her up and then added some new brown ribbon I bought at the Scrapyard--that's in Stonewall, MB and if you're in ther area, you definitely need to check it out. Allison is a wonderful hostess and her store is to die for!

This Tilda is called Tilda with a single flower and you can find her here.

Yesterday was a scrapbooking get together for all the ladies who work on the Brandon Scrapbookers Charity Convention committee. They all meet about once a month to scrapbook. Since I work all week, I don't always get to join, but I do get to host the events in the summer. We had tons of fun, lots of laughs and great food. I made 8 cards and I'll be posting them throughout the next week or so. (waving to all the committee members!)

See you soon!
