A Valentine Box

I really liked the valentine box tutorial that was on at Splitcoaststampers.com this week.  Here's my take on it:

That's the top view.  I've used an image from Prairie Fairy too.  Isn't he adorable?!  Here's the side view:

Here's the view of the inside of the box:

A Valentine Canary

I've got a valentine today.  I received the free image from the Saturated Canary and just had to ink it up right away.

She's a wonderful image. Copics were used to color her  (E31,34,35, B91,93,95, R81, 83).  I also used some stickles on the flouncy part of her dress as well as glossy accents on her eyes.  I used the Mojo Monday sketch--don't ya love it?!

Crafting When We Can

*****This is my second post for the day.  Scroll down to see my BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

It's sunday and time for another challenge over at Crafting When We Can.  Our sponsor this week is Spesch Stamps

.....and their stamps are just beautiful. Check out this one I was so lucky to get:

Isn't she a doll!   I love her. She's so sweet.  The challenge this week is to use something not intended for crafting in your creation. See the shiny flower?  I made that by using a pop can.   I used my spellbinder rose dies to create the shape and then molded them into a 3D flower.  Easy peasy and I love the look.

Pop on over to the Crafting When We Can blog to see all the DT's work and to get all the details about how you can win our challenge.

Big Announcement!

I am so happy and excited to announce that I am now part of the One Stitch At A Time DT!     Here is my card for my first challenge:

The challenge this week is Round and Round.  I find circle cards a big challenging, but I did manage to come up with something.  I used a set of circle blank cards from SU and then used my spellbinders to create the rest of the base.  I'm lucky enough to have this beautiful image to work with---it's a dream to color with my copics!

We are sponsored by two wonderful companies:

Now--pop on over to the OSAAT blog to see all the other gorgeous creations from the DT.   Wowee, you are in for a treat.

Smooches!

I tell ya, there's nothing cuter than a cow.....right?!  I decided I wanted to do this as a CAS card so that the focal point--the image--really popped.  I colored the cow with my copics and then added some doodling around the edges using my momento marked. The button is from my stash and has a bit of twine tied to it.

Dreamy Fairy

I'm on a CAS roll and here is one using a Prairie Fairy image.  Pardon the photo......I guess I took it on an angle and it looks like the brads are not straight, but they really are....lol.   Copics were used to color this image. I added three brads from my stash on the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Janet

Clean and Simple

I've been trying out some one layer cards, which is a change for me. Here's one I've created using the zinnia Flourishes stamp.

I chose to use my RV copic markers--RV02,024 and 06. I also colored up some white ribbon using RVO2 so that it would match.  I really like these CAS cards.  They are quick, fun to color, and really show off the image so nicely.

On another note, I think winter has finally arrived today. It's quite cold (20C) and we're getting some snow.  Hope you are having a wonderful and restful sunday.

Hot Pink Bling

I think that there's nothing better than a black and white card with a pop of color.  Hot pink is one of those colors that makes everything pop, and I couldn't resist using it today.  I've chosen a stamp from the Zinnia's set.  RV and YG copic markers were used to color this image.  I also must mention that the paper is old--at least 4 years old---and the bling is new.

I hope your monday is going great.....it's the start of a beautiful week! Thanks for stopping by.

Crafting When We Can Sunday

Today it's a new challenge over at Crafting When We Can.  We are looking for cards that relate to your New Year's Resolutions.   Here's what I came up with:

We have two sponsors this week, and the first sponsor provided this fun image. Isn't it a great one?!!!  I'm thinking this card would be good to give to a friend who needs a boost in a couple of weeks, when exercising is really not that much fun anymore.

Our first sponsor is The Stamping Boutique.   You might also want to check out their challenge blog too.   Here's what Tracey says about her store, The Stamping Boutique:  "The Stamping Boutique is dedicated to quality products and original artwork.  We not only provide wonderful digital images in our store, but also several lines of red rubber images.  Our designers are chosen for their character and personality, as well as, their beautiful designs.  We work hard to give you our very best."  Why not pop over and check our their selection of images.  You'll have a hard time just choosing one, as I did.

Our second sponsor is Crafty Ribbons.  They are offering a selection of valentine ribbon to one of our winners.

If you'd like to play along, and to see more of the DT's creations, pop over to the Crafting When We Can blog.  You can also find all the rules for the challenge there.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Geronimo!

I made this card for a challenge over at The Cat's Pajamas, but missed the deadline. Sigh. Oh well, I'm posting it anyway, cuz I love the sketch and the image.

I used Basic Grey paper--a pack that's new to me. I really like the bright colors.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope the weather is as good in your area of the world, as it is in mine today. It's a gorgeous day!
