I really like Justrite Stamps. I have a couple of sets, but my favorite are these garden images. They are just the right image to color with my favorite tool of the moment.......copics!
I also decided to try out the Friday Challenge over at the Justrite Blog. I'm into simple cards and this sketch caught my eye. Hope you like it too!

Flowers
This is one of my latest creations. I've been loving my copics lately, and I've been searching for all different kinds of digital images that I could color. I found this one at Prairie Fairy.
I colored it, and then used a sketch to put it all together. I'm really liking this Kaisercraft paper. I'm almost out though, so I think I'll have to stock up some more. The oranges and blues really appeal to me.
I'm entering this card in a number of challenges:
Prairie Fairy Fun Fridays
Sweet Sketch #51
VSN MAY10VSNB
Beate's blog candy challenge
Hope you didn't get too much rain this weekend. We're swamped.

Cowgirl's Sunday Challenge
I stumbled across this blog, the Cowgirl's Sunday Challenge, the other day, and I had just finished creating this card:
I fell in love with this stamp set from My Favorite Things, but it's been sitting on my crafting table, waiting to be inked. I finally got to it this weekend, and voila! A card is born.
I stamped the image using black momento ink. Colored it with my copics, and put glossy accents on the dress. I sprinkled a little diamond dust on the dress, to add a bit of flair. I decided to create an easel card to show off this image, and I think it worked perfectly.
The challenge at Cowgirl's is to use black, red and white to create a card. I don't have one of their images yet, but I don't think it will be too long before I own my own Cowgirl digi's. I've only had a short while to check out their images, but I've already got a list going!

Fairy Fun Friday Challenge
Don't you just love challenges? I sure do. I'm hooked on the Fairy Fun Friday Challenges over at the Prairie Fairy Fridays blog.
This weeks challenge is to make a tent card. You've got to check out the designer cards that are featured this week. Just awesome!
I made my card using the swirly cupcake image. I paper pieced the cupcake base and covered the top of the cupcake with stickles. I used my spellbinder corners for each corner--cutting and embossing them. I added rhinestones to the corner pieces as well.
I used silver elastic to hold the cupcake in the centre of the card, which was cut out again with the circle spellbinders. I also cut out the scalloped edging with another set of scalloped circle spellbinders. (Can you tell that spellbinders are one of my favorite toys?!)
The paper is cardstock and Kaisercraft. Lastly I added purple stickles on each scallop to embellish.
I hope you like it. I also wish all of you a happy, wonderful long weekend. The weather has been a little good and a little bad in my neck of the woods, but I'm enjoying it anyway.
Cheers!

Me and My Boys
Just thought I'd post one of the new pics that was taken on Mother's Day. It's become one of my favorites.
We're all relaxed, having fun and being ourselves. Isn't it amazing how time flies? In a short few weeks Tanner will be graduating and Stephen will be finished his first year of college. I know it's a cliche, but I really don't know where the time has gone.
I'm really proud of both of my boys. They have turned into handsome, wonderful young men. Love you guys!

Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz
Have you visited Claire's site? I just love all her stamps. Last month I purchased the "A Piece of Cake Template" What a fun project.
I made two pieces of cake for my Mom and my Mother in law. Hope you like them both!
For both, I colored the lace with my copics, so that it matched the color of the paper as closely as possible. I believe it is Prima lace.
I filled them both with candy. One had Werther's sugar free candies, and the other had Lindor white chocolates.

Paperworks Co Sunday Sketch #33
This sketch really caught my eye, so I thought I'd try it out.
When I was at the Brandon Scrapbookers Charity Convention, I picked out these papers. I loved the color combination and I'd been saving them, not sure what to use them with. Well, they just seemed to pop out when I was looking through my stash for papers to use for this challenge.
I used one of my new Innocence stamps from My Favorite Things. I'd never even inked it up before, so this is my first try with it. I used my copics to color the image. I added glossy accents to the balloons. I used the new Tim Holtz flourish die to create the flourish, and I covered it with glitter.
I really like how it turned out. Hope you do too!

Prairie Fairy Challenge
Once again, the Prairie Fairy has a terrific friday challenge. The challenge this week is to use flowers.
I decided to use the honey bear stamp, and colored him up using my copics. I distressed the background, using coordinations cardstock and a cuttlebug folder, that I sanded.
Hope you like it!

A Creepy Card
Here is a card I made for my nephew's birthday that is quickly approaching. He likes these kind of images, so I asked him to pick his favorite, and this was it. It's a Daniel Torrente stamp--he's known for his creepy images.
It's definitely not my usual style, but I know that Zack will like it. It's about time I made him a card that is really his style. He wears his hair long, black and covering half his handsome face. He wears those skinny jeans, and loves them in read. He loves vampire books and I've sent him a new series to get started on. Hopefully he checks his mail soon, so he realizes that there is a surprise waiting for him.
Tell me what you think of it. BTW--I had a hard time getting a decent pic of it. The image seems to be crooked, but I'm thinking that's how it's supposed to be. I tried to straighten it, but it looked funny. Oh well--it's creepy, so I think it matches the stamp!

Whimsie Doodles First Birthday
Here is the card I created for the Whimsie Doodle birthday celebration.
I used the bear image and colored it with my copics. Isn't he just the cutest thing? I love this image. I used glossy accents on the strawberry, and added rhinestones for some bling. I cut out the image with oval spellbinders. I also used another set of spellbinders to create the fancy, enbossed corners.
I hope you like it. Be sure to visit the Whimsie Doodle Blog and store to share in the celebration.

Prairie Fairy Challenge
It's challenge time at the Prairie Fairy blog....in this challenge we have to recycle something.
I was coloring some images this week, while I was away, and finally got to coloring up the swirly cupcake from Prairie Fairy Designs. I used these copic markers to color it: E25, E27, R83 and R85. I cut it out, and it was pop dotted onto the card. I used a piece of dp from the Sugar Rush collection from Basic Grey. I used my spellbinders tags to make the tag and stamped it with the Trajan stamps from Papertrey Ink.
Now for the recycling part. I used a piece from a box of Graham crackers to make the tag. I seem to have developed this insane weakness for graham crackers, and I always have a box around. LOL
I also recycled a part of a bracelet. That's the silver heart hanging off the twill. The twill is also recycled. It came off some stamp order I received, but I can't remember which one. I colored the twill with another copic marker, ironed it and attached it to the card.
The inside of the card was decorated too. I used the same cardstock and my spellbinders to create the inside of the card.
I hope you like it. Happy Mother's day!

Mother's Day
I hope that you like my next card. It's the one I made for Mother's day. I saw something like it on the Waltzingmouse Stamps blog, and I used some of the ideas for my card.
I used the fancy labels tag from Spellbinders and cut out the front of the card. I pop dotted it up on the card base, and stamped the sentiment (Papertrey Ink) through the cut out. I used my new SU Butterfly die, and cut out and embossed the butterflies for the front of the card, and glue dotted them on.
I really like how it turned out.
Hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day. We're going to go out for supper.

Mojo Monday 137
I created a card using the Mojo Monday sketch. I actually created two cards.
The first one uses Verve stamps. I used SU chocolate chip ink and embossed it. Rhinestone jewels were used in the corner and I got to use my new Prima lace! I also stamped the star in chocolate chip and embossed it. I cut it out and mounted it with some pop dots. For the second base layer, I embossed it using my paisley cuttlebug folder.
The second card I made for this challenge was also made for the Hero Arts May challenge. I used the Hero Arts butterfly--which was stamped, cut out and sprinkled with stickles. I pop dotted them up on the card. I stamped the brown background with the Hero Arts Flourish background stamp. I'm loving that stamp. I seem to use it all the time and don't know what I did without it. I used the trajan monogram stamps from Papertrey Ink to stamp HB on the card front. Rhinestones also decorate the front corner of this card.
Hope you like them, Janet

Spring Card
I have been working on a class for my LSS, and decided to try a spring card. I really like how it turned out. However, the camera didn't seem to want to show it's true colors. It's really a purple card, but it certainly doesn't look like that in the picture. Oh well--that's something I'll have to work on.
I used my flourish background hero arts stamp on the top layer using versamark and clear embossing powder, and used my new Tattered Flowers die from Tim Holtz. I added in a jewelled brad on the flower and the sentiment is from Stamping Bella.
Hope you all had a great weekend.
