My Favorite Things--Release Day is coming up.

It's release time at My Favorite Things  .  The actual release takes place on Tuesday, December 6th and the information about it can be found here.   Have you been hopping along the past few days and seeing all the previews that the DT has created?  Wow--their work has been amazing and I've definitely got some of the new products on my wish list.

What's most important is that for every release there is a Guest Designer contest.  I've decided to play along this month, and the theme is Play Tag.  If you're interested in playing along too, check out all the information here.

I've created a tag and card/book with tag combo this month.  Here`s the two items together:

I used the Pure Innocence-Hello Cupcake stamp as the feature in my project.  I also used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the A la Mode set-Birthday girl-- on the tag on the front of the card/book. The pocket and tag on the card/book front are made with the Pretty Pocket die and stamp set

Here are some pictures of the inside of the card/book:

Here's a picture of the tag itself:

Some highlights for my project are:

1.  I dyed the seam binding to match the ink.  Put the seam binding in a plastic bag and add some copic refill.  Mix it well, and let it dry.
2.  I used the jelly roll pen throughout the project to add some slight bling.
3. I ran the tag through the cuttlebug using the snowflake folder.  I coated the debossed side of the tag with stickles and used a credit card to spread it thoroughly on the tag, being sure to fill in the debossed sections.   I used the credit card to wipe off the excess stickles and then dried it with my heat gun.

Thanks for looking at my projects today.  I've got some great competition for this month's GDT contest.  Cross your fingers for me.
