Bring Back Beautiful

This is the inside:

I had to join in on the Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful challenge this month.  The challenge is to use a fold, so I made my own card up this time.  I really wanted an envelope look, so I created my own and used an old border die from Spellbinders to add some zing to the edge of the card.

I inked the edges of the card with mustard distressing ink, on both the outside and inside of the card.  I colored the image with Copics and stamped the image three times, so that I could cut out two butterflies and pop one up on the front and stick one on the inside.   Lastly, I added a button and some twine from my stash to keep the card closed.

I hope your week is going smoothly.....it's halfway done!

Christmas Tilda

I haven't created a Tilda card in ages.  It was so nice to pull out a Tilda stamp and create with her.  I got this great paper at my LSS this weekend....Bo Bunny I think. It's full of sparkles and teal and brown--all my favorites.   I also got to use my new memory box die..woohoo!

Icy Stardust

This is my entry into the Sugar Bowl challenge this week. I just purchased Stardust this past week, and had to ink her up right away.  I must say that Funky Kits has the best shipping ever!  It only took 5 days for my stamps to arrive here......compared to almost 2-3 weeks from the US!  Isn't that amazing!  You rock, Funky Kits.

Since the theme is ice and snow, I decided to go with a blue theme. I used a variety of BG and B markers from copic to color the image. I used the cuttlebug snowflake folder and embossed the dark green paper behind the image. I then spread Diamond Stickles all over this to give it some shimmer.  I did the same to the snowflakes I die cut.  I also added the same stickles to the stars.

I'm having a hard time getting a good picture of this card so I'll try in different light later on.  My apologies for that.

Snowman Time

We are definitely into winter here, and have about 3 inches or so of snow already.....and some has already melted!  We've even hit the -25C mark a few days!  BRRRRRRR.

This cold has got me thinking of snowmen and I made this card as a sample for the copics class I was teaching yesterday at Scrapbookers Anonymous in Winnipeg. (waving to Marilyn and all the wonderful women there.)

I have seen the layout on a blog somewhere but I didn't save the address, so if you know who originated this layout, please let me know so I can credit her here.  It's a gorgeous layout isn't it?

I used spellbinders metal sheets and embossed it with a cuttlebug folder.  I adhered it to the cardstock base and then worked on the snoman.

I used copics to color the snowman--R27,29, YR68, B000, BG000,G0000, B0, W0 and the blender pen.  This image is a Mo Manning image available here.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for all your comments. They are very much appreciated.

Touchy Feely

That's the theme for this week's Recipe Friday!  It's Janet here and today we are asked to use an animal image, texture and two embellishments.  Wanna see what I came up with?  Here it is:

I used this cute Rachelle A Miller image called Puddles of Fun.   I stamped it twice and cut out the largest duck and then glued yellow flower soft on it.  I added some brads and a cute resin flower.  The paper is from Authentique.  So yummy!

I'd love it if you played along with us this week.  Play along with at least two of our Sketch and/or Recipe challenges by the end of the month, and you’ll be entered to win YOUR CHOICE of TWO PWCO RUBBER STAMPS OR November’s PaperCard Kit! You don’t have to use PWCO images to play, but we’ll throw your name in for the prize twice as often if you do!

Recipe Friday at Paperworks Co

We've got an inspiration picture to work with today.

What a gorgeous cake!  What caught my eye were the colors blue and white and the snowflakes.  So i used all three in my card:

I used a summer release stamp called Driving to a New Beginning.  My favorite part of this stamp are the mice on the bumper.....they are just so darn cute!

I colored the image with copics--E31,33,35, T2,4, C1 and B00.  I used some stardust stickles on the bride's veil.  I added some texture by using a cuttlebug folder on the white paper, as well as on the white banner pieces.  The banner was die cut using a spellbinders die, and fixed to blue and white twine.  I added a snowflake charm as well.

I hope that you like this card, and join in this week's Recipe Friday.   Why not play along with at least two of our Sketch and/or Recipe challenges by the end of the month, and you’ll be entered to win YOUR CHOICE of TWO PWCO RUBBER STAMPS OR November’s PaperCard Kit! You don’t have to use PWCO images to play, but we’ll throw your name in for the prize twice as often if you do!

Enjoy your day!  Janet
