Prairie Fairy Challenge

It's challenge time at the Prairie Fairy blog....in this challenge we have to recycle something.

I was coloring some images this week, while I was away, and finally got to coloring up the swirly cupcake from Prairie Fairy Designs. I used these copic markers to color it: E25, E27, R83 and R85. I cut it out, and it was pop dotted onto the card. I used a piece of dp from the Sugar Rush collection from Basic Grey. I used my spellbinders tags to make the tag and stamped it with the Trajan stamps from Papertrey Ink.

Now for the recycling part. I used a piece from a box of Graham crackers to make the tag. I seem to have developed this insane weakness for graham crackers, and I always have a box around. LOL

I also recycled a part of a bracelet. That's the silver heart hanging off the twill. The twill is also recycled. It came off some stamp order I received, but I can't remember which one. I colored the twill with another copic marker, ironed it and attached it to the card.

The inside of the card was decorated too. I used the same cardstock and my spellbinders to create the inside of the card.

I hope you like it. Happy Mother's day!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

I hope all of you are enjoying St. Patrick's day.

It's been rather low key at work, but some actually remembered to wear green. I however, totally forgot, as I opted to wear the outfit that required no ironing versus the green shirt that did. Oh well, at least I made a card for the occassion.

I am joining Waltzingmouse Stamps on their blog hop. Check out Claire's site for all the details. You can find the links to all the participants in the forum (you'll have to register first, but it's easy).

I created a card using the digital image that Claire provided last week. I stamped it twice on copic paper and then I colored it with my copics. I cut out one image using the oval nestabilities, and I cut out two little shamrocks on the other image. I used those shamrocks on pop dots to add dimension to my card. I also used my scalloped oval nestabilities to provide a frame for the image. I used ribbon to embellish and voila! Card created.

I really like the patterned paper--and I'll have to update this post later with the company name as I can't remember right now. The patterned paper sure adds to the overall feel of the card.

Be sure to check out the other stamps that Claire creates. Her work is lovely. I am a big fan--I've got a number of sets, and I know I'll be getting more. I particularly like the stamps that work with spellbinder nestabilities. What a great addition to my collection.

Feel free to follow my blog--if I get enough followers I'm thinking of giving away some blog candy.

Have a great hop!

Janet
