If I bought a laptop what do you think I should look for? I would mostly use it for digital scrapbooking, surfing, etc. No gaming really.

Mac - designed with artists in mind & so portable. MacBook Pro with anti-galre screen is amazing for giving real pics/colours & the photo software which is standard is a dream. I'm very new to it but absolutely stunned by it's user friendliness. Also the software & hardware are made by the same company so you have back-up service second to none - what might take days to sort out is sorted in hours. Actually it would have taken hours but took minutes! It was my inexperience nothing else but Apple knew exactly what I was doing wrong & didn't send me round the houses like Dell/Microsoft.
