Flower Power

I've used Marci with a Rose for today's monochromatic card.  I've used quite a few of my favorite things in this card--spellbinder dies, punches, metal and Authentique Paper.  She is colored with copics and I've paper pieced her dress.  I've also added some WOC flowers and some metal butterflies for sparkle.

Sparkly Tilda

Please excuse the picture, but I just can't seem to get the colors right.  The background was spritzed with diamond glimmer mist, but it really looks dirty in the picture, but definitely not in real life.

I've seen challenges lately for wintery cards, sparkly cards and star cards, so I thought I would combine the three ideas here.

All the stars are cut out using the spellbinders star die. I even made a line of stars going across the top, but it's not really all that visible in the picture. I guess that's what happens when you create a monochromatic card.  All the cut out stars are covered in diamond stickles for more sparkly. Tilda is colored using B000, B00, B01 copic markers.  She is also popped up on the card front.

A Vision in Yellow

Ahhhh....Authentique paper.  Don't ya love it?!  I really wanted a bright card today, and I feel like I've succeeded.   I've used two new dies from My Favorite Things, along with my copic markers to color up this gorgeous MFT image.

I hope your holidays were as good as mine.  My big news...........Ken and I got engaged!  Today I went dress shopping for the first time, and I actually found my dress.  The stars are definitely all in alignment for me.  I'm truly blessed.

Hippie Love

This is a Sugar Bowl delight--straight from Funky Kits---Hippie Love by Sugar Nellie.   I didn't use any dp for this card.  I created my own using a variety of cuttlebug folders.  I added some cuttlebug hearts and rubbed them with the lustre rub.  Lastly I added some glossy accents to the hearts on the image.

Is it present time yet?

 This is my first stamp from The Cat's Pajamas...isn't he cute?  It's called Bearing Presents.  Copic colored of course, and I used some dp I got from my LSS Scrapbookers Anonymous.  Iused my snowflake cuttlebug die to create those snowflakes on the side. I used glitter paper for them too, for a bit of sparkle.

It's Sketch Day!

I'm playing along with the sketch over at Paperworks Co.  Here's the sketch we can use:

Here's my take on the sketch:

I used a little creative license with the sketch, but once I get an idea going, it's sometimes better to go with the flow.  I used the stamp called Flaky Friends.   I stamped it twice and cut out the little snowman and popped it up on the main image. Of course, I used copics to color these images.  I used my new spellbinders pennant die to make the tree, and then embossed it with the snowflake cuttlebug folder.  I added some stickles to go around the edge of the tree. I also chose non-traditional Christmas colors---so fun!

Beautiful Green

I pulled out my Flourishes sets again and decided to try something different. Can you guess what it is?...................

No copics!  It's been ages since I've done a card without using my copic markers in some way.  I decided to create my own background paper, and I stamped the Butterflies and Blossoms set with versamark ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.   The sentiment is from the Zinnias set.  It was also stamped with versamark and embossed.  I inked around the edges of the sentiment piece with my new TH christmas ink pad.....love that new color.  I added some seam binding from Wild Orchid Crafts and the brad is from my stash.
