Dandelions in the Wind

This image makes me long for hot summer days. The wind blowing......dandelions in bloom...seeds floating in the wind.  I guess winter is dragging along for me.  Only a couple of more months though.

I used my first Lily of the Valley image called Dandelion clock.  I colored her with copics and added some stickles for sparkle.  I've used my favorite color pink for this card.  I have used this color quite often lately.  I added some texture with two cuttlebug folders and distressed them with some ink around the edges.  The patterned paper is definitely a favorite of mine--it's my last piece!

Thanks for stopping by. Tomorrow I'll be making the draw for the blog candy winner.  I hope you enjoyed your long weekend as much as I did.  See you tomorrow!

Wow!  I'm amazed!  Thanks so much to all those who have become followers.  You have made my day.

As promised, I will add to my blog candy......I'll pop back in on saturday with the picture.  I'm out of town til then.

If you haven't entered, make sure that you do. I'll be making the draw in the next few days.

Altered Metal

It's blog waltz time!

I'm experimenting with Glimmer mist again and I saw the neatest idea on the Tattered Angels blog and thought I'd give it a try. This is the result:

I embossed a sheet of metal using a sizzix folder and sprayed it with a pink glimmer mist. Once it was dry, I painted it with Glimmer Glaze and let it dry.  I think it looks great. I love the colors.  I know I'll be experimenting more with metal and Glimmer products.

To fit in with the theme of the blog waltz at Waltzingmouse Stamps, I had to use buttons, and you can see the tiny button brads that I've added to the image.  I also used the Rescue Remedies stamp set that is available here

Please leave a comment. I love to hear from those who stop by. Don't forget to enter my blog candy here.  Thanks for waltzing by.

Mahhhhhvellous Dahling!

Here's my newest card for the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge.  I've used Raychel this week.  This week's challenge is a recipe challenge and I think I've managed to include it all.  The image is colored with copics and I just had to use this yellow and green paper--spring colors are speaking to me these days.  Spring is just around the corner you know.

Only a few more days until I draw for my blog candy so be sure to enter before it's too late.

Valentine Kaela

I created a valentine today using a new image from Designed2Delight Digital stamps. Her name is Spring Kaela and I also used the freebie that I received last week for joining along in the challenge.

I used my copics to color her. I embellished with some stickles, rhinestones and some great gathered ribbon I found in my stash.

I hope you have a great Valentine's Day. We're going to celebrate with dinner out and a movie.  Hug all your loved ones!

Here's my card for today's hop:

We are sponsored today by DZ Doodles.  Isn't that vase just gorgeous?  I colored it with copics, and tried to incorporate hearts in my card.

Why don't you join us and make a card using hearts. The winner of the hop will win this gorgeous bunch of ribbons from Crafty Ribbons

and 3 images from DZ Doodles

The Top 3 will each receive an image of choice.

I'm looking forward to seeing what each of you creates.  And a word of thanks to the 166 participants in the last challenge.  166 entries!  Wow!  There were so many beautiful entries!  Thank you. You each deserve a pat on the back!

Your next stop on the hop is Kleeblatt.  I know she will have some delicious eye candy for you.
